Healthy Lunch

Yesterday’s lunch was so pretty that I had to snap a quick picture.  (Meals aren’t always so colorful and well-balanced, though.  :-P)

Here’s what the kids had:

  • Leftover Spinach and Artichoke Dip
  • Organic Corn Chips (Corn is one of those crops that is nearly always genetically engineered.  We prefer to avoid GMO’s – genetically modified organisms.)
  • Hard-Boiled Egg
  • Fresh Celery and Carrot Sticks
  • Sandwich Turkey with no nitrates/nitrites  (Most most processed meats contain nitrates/nitrites. Earth Fare ‘s lunch meats don’t have these preservatives, so that’s where we get ours.)

Erich and I had a Loaded Salad along with leftover dip and chips.
