This is the second of nine reasons we’re going to explore for why we decided not to vaccinate our children. If you missed the intro to this series, please read it here. It contains groundwork critical for properly understanding my motivation for writing this series.
Quite a List
There is a list of ingredients that accompany any given vaccine that most would never choose to purposefully inject into their children:
- Monosodium Glutamate (MSG)
- Thimerosal (Mercury)
- Phenol (carbolic acid)
- Phenoxyethanol (antifreeze)
- Gelatin (calf and cattle skin)
- Polysorbate 80 (suspected skin and sense organ poison that causes cancer in animals)
- Human and animal cells
- Aborted Fetal Tissue (!!!!)
Lots of Unknowns
According to Dr. Lawrence Palevsky, “we do not know what happens to these chemicals when they are injected into your children’s bodies. We don’t know what they individually do. We don’t know how they interact. And we don’t know if they accumulate in your children’s bodies, if they affect the immune system in any bad way, or if they affect the nervous system in any bad way. . . The science about what happens with them (these ingredients) is completely unknown.”
Animal Cells in Vaccines
Just as recently as March of this year, contaminated animal cells were discovered in a vaccine. They were found in the Rotarix vaccine, a vaccine for the rotavirus, which is a disease that is mild in most U.S. children. It was contaminated with DNA from a pig virus!
Researcher Dr. Eric Delwart and his team tested eight infectious attenuated viral vaccines and found three of the eight contained “unexpected viral sequences” including bird, monkey and pig DNA. That means, nearly 40 percent of the vaccines they tested contained viral contaminants. The implications of these findings on the alleged safety of the vaccine supply remains to be seen, but clearly there is contamination occurring that was a complete surprise to researchers, health officials and vaccine manufacturers alike.
As Barbara Loe Fisher, founder of the National Vaccine Information Center (NVIC), said in her commentary on the Rotarix contamination issue:
“There are lots of questions about how the manufacturer of Rotarix vaccine and the FDA both missed the pig virus DNA contaminating the original seed stock and all doses of Rotarix vaccine given to more than one million American children in the past few years.
Is there state-of-the-art technology that is being used by private laboratories but not by drug companies and the FDA?
Why did the independent team of scientists, who found the contamination, notify the vaccine manufacturer first rather than also immediately reporting their finding directly to the FDA?
What about the significance of finding bird viral DNA in measles vaccine and the monkey viral DNA in RotaTeq vaccine?”
Dr. Mercola adds, “There are clearly a lot of unanswered questions right now. At the very least, it certainly makes you wonder what other “unknown” contaminants are lurking in vaccines. At worst, we could be injecting children with substances that could potentially cause serious health problems down the road.”
FDA says it’s safe
Though the FDA and vaccine manufacturers say that these contaminations pose no threat, they have no evidence to back this up. History shows that it is dangerous when animal viruses enter the vaccine supply.
During the 1950s and 1960s, the polio vaccine was widely contaminated with the monkey virus, SV40, which had gotten into the vaccine during the manufacturing process. In lab tests, the virus was found to cause several different types of cancer, including brain cancer, and now SV40 is showing up in a variety of human cancers such as lung, brain, bone and lymphatic. According to Dr. Mercola, “The virus is even showing up in children too young to have received the contaminated vaccine, and some experts are now suggesting the contaminated virus may have been in the polio vaccine up until as late as 1999.”
Aborted Fetal Tissue in Vaccines
An even bigger surprise to me in my research, was finding that many vaccines have been developed using aborted fetal tissue.
- Cell line WI-38 came from a female fetus that was aborted because the family felt they had too many children
- Cell line MRC-5 came from a 14 week male fetus aborted for “psychiatric reasons” from a 27 year old woman in the UK.
According to Sound Choice Pharmaceutical Institute(SCPI), the following 24 vaccines are produced using cells from aborted fetuses and/or contain DNA, proteins, or related cellular debris from cell cultures derived from aborted human fetuses:
- DT Polio Absorbed
- Quadracel (Sanofi)
Measles, Mumps, Rubella
- MMR II
- Meruvax II
- MMR-V (Merck)
- Priorix, Erolalix (GlaxoSmithKline)
Varicella (Chickenpox and Shingles)
- Zostavax (Merck)
- Varilix (GlaxoSmithKline)
- Vaqta (Merck)
- Havrix, Twinrix (GlaxoSmithKine)
- Avaxim, Vivaxim (Sanofi)
- Epaxal (Crucell/Berna)
- Imovax (Sanofi)
In the vaccine package inserts the fetal tissue is referred to as “diploid cells.” You can find references to “diploid cells” yourself in many package inserts here.
